Twinkle Toes's Hot Stove Report
Well it has been a week since Yankees were crowned champs but now all is forgotten. Now the hot stove is underway. My first report is that on and off shortstop J.J. Hardy has been traded to Minnesota for young speedy outfielder Carlos Gomez. A good trade for the Brewers but I think the Twins forgot their heads at the Metrodome. I mean really? J.J. Hardy will hit from time-to-time but is he really worth giving up Gomez. On the other hand the Brewers are taking on a new look this off season. Gomez gives them a whole new look at the top of the lineup. He is the perfect table-setter for Price Fielder and Ryan Braun. Two more moves were made Matt Williams former third baseman will be the D-backs new first base coach and Larry Bowa has re-signed with the Dodgers and now will continue to be the third basecoach. Ken Griffey Jr. has re-signed with the Mariners for one year. So far no Halladay news. After the first day of winter meetings there are no trades. Right now the GMs are having nice friendly luches together but come April they will be nemesis again.
