Why Jet Fans Should, and Will Root for the Patriots
For the first time in Honusbabe's Sports History, I am outright proclaiming my allegiance. I am a Jet fan. I try to remain impartial and unbiased, but with the Super Bowl approaching I have felt the need to show my allegiance. The matchup is not one that I particularly favor, but after an initial pledge to ignore the "most epic night in America," I have decided to support the Patriots. Judging from my usual hate of the Brady Bunch, you must think I am an indecisive mad man, that changes opinions on the drop of a hat. This will be the lone time that I will root for the Pats, well besides Super Bowl XLII. The reason I came to this revelation, is that if the Belichick lifts the Lombardi Trophy, it will ignite a flame in Rex Ryan's mind. Upon drafting the "Sanchise" he guaranteed a Super Bowl within 3 years. Well, where is it? All the hype is nice, but you have to deliver. Rex hopefully will wake up from his daze that he has been in, and realize his football team isn't the best team out there. You could bargain that he got close twice, but close only counts in horseshoes;. plus, to come close means to fall short multiple times. Now tell me this isn't integers where 2 negatives make a positive. In football, two losses create an even bigger loss. I hope Rexy is reading this article, so he can shut his big pie hole and leave everything on the field. Enough is enough. He will be able to see how a truly good football team plays, talking through skills not out of their behinds. Belichick manages his team very well, controlling their mouths and disciplining them into Canton bound players. Despite his ragged appearance, he truly is a great football man that can be compared to greats like Ditka, Dungey, and possibly Lomardi. I must really seem crazy as I am contradicting nearly everything I have previously written, but this enlightening may be bitter at first, but could possibly benefit the Jets...
