As William Wrigley III finishes cleaning out his office at Wrigley Field and as the Rickets Family now owns the Cubs The Wrigleys and Cub fans look back at some memorable and not so memorable memories of the Wrigley Dynasty.
1908: A foolish bartender brings his billygoat to Wrigley Field to advertise for his bar. When he and his billygoat are asked to leave and to never come back he shouted out, "You will be cursed", and now they are.
1932: Babe Ruth "Calls his Shot" off of pitcher Charlie Root at Wrigley Field.
1945: The last time the Cubs get to the World Series, the lose to the Detroit Tigers in seven games.
1964: The Cubs trade Lou Brock to the Cardinals for Ernie Broglio.
1969: The Black Cat Game a black cat ran across the Cubs' dugout putting a hex on the Cubs franchise the Met would later win the World Series.
1973: After trying to trade famed thirdbaseman, Ron Santo, Santo blocks the trade by using the "Santo Rule".
1981: The Cubs trade for Ryne Sandberg.
1984: The Cubs draft Greg Maddux.
1991: The Cubs fire Don Zimmer as manager.
1994: Ryne Sandberg retires for the first time
1995: The Cubs draft Kerry Wood. Ryne Sandberg comes out of retirement.
1997: Ryne Sandberg retires for the final time?
2005: The Cubs trade away Sammy Sosa to the Orioles for Jerry Hairston Jr. and Mike Fontenot. The rival White Sox win the World Series.
2008: The Curse of the Billy Goat extends to 100 years, the longest drought in sports history.
2009: The Rickets take over the Wrigley Dynasty.
