Mr. Mets's Grief

After the Yankees put the Angels away late Sunday night many Met fans realized that their nightmare had come true. A Phillie-Yankee World Series is the last thing any Met fan would want. The thing most fans are dreading is who to root for. If you root for the Phillies you'll be called a fraud but if you root for the Yankees you'd be called a closet Bomber fan. I personally do not enjoy either team very much. So if I were you I would just watch hockey and football and than wait for basketball. The Phillie Phanatic as most of you know is that crazy green monster that the Phillies call their mascot. When the Mets are in town he jumps on an over sized apple and a Met hat. Ever since the Phillies introduced the Phanatic he has just been Mr. Mets's rival at everything. The Yankees have just outdone the Mets ever since that April afternoon in 1962. While the Mets were trying to get a win the Yankees were chasing a pennant. It has always been a terrible rivalry between these two teams that always results in the Yankees winning. Well now Met fans know how Yankee fans felt in 1986.
