Bye Bye Meadowlands They Don't Need You

This previous weekend my son and I went to the Jet game against the Jaguars. It was his first game so we went and tailgated outside for a while. When the face painting cart came around my son begged me to let him get his face painted. I gave in and let him get it a GAME FACE. It turns out he ended up getting green on one side of his face and white on the other. It cost ten bucks a fair price but it was worth it. He looked really good. I couldn't decide whether he was Casper the Friendly Ghost or Shrek. While we were walking in, a lady asked him why he had a Notre Dame jersey on with Sanchez's name on the back. He was wearing his Titans of New York jersey. We sat into our seats and the Jets had a very nice entrance, but our excitement soon turned to anger as Mark Sanchez on the first play throws a bullet right to the Jaguars' safety. My son was up on his little feet the whole game booing, cheering, yelling defense, and overrated at the players. What he enjoyed the most was seeing Fireman Ed in person and screaming J-E-T-S! Jets! Jets! Jets! But what he found most interesting was how Fireman Ed was able to silence the whole crowd and then start the crowd up by chanting JETS, JETS, JETS. At halftime we went and got a cookie from Mrs. Field's Cookie Shop and we both agreed they were the best we ever had. So even though the Jets were basically dead we were able to enjoy ourselves at halftime. But Mark Sanchez got some people on his side when he took the Jets down the field late in the third and most of the fourth. On fourth down they went for it and got a touchdown. They went for two but newly acquired Braylon Edwards dropped the ball in the endzone. That wasn't his only drop, he also fumbled the ball at the fifty earlier in the game. Then David Garrard took the Jags on an amazing drive. Maurice Jones-Drew ran the ball to the two and kneeled down. Garrard later kneed the ball and ran the clock out so the Jags coach summoned Josh Scobee to kick a game winning field goal. The Jets have the best and worst fans. They were cheering their heads off five minutes earlier they were ripping up destroying the team pictures distributed at the end of the game. Got to Love those Jets!
