Many fantasy leagues are being created now and as you receive that email and invitation from your commissioner your recent friendly, jovial attitude towards this person will soon be turned to a more harsh attitude. Even though he let you watch the Super Bowl on his big screen TV remember he is the enemy.
Take risks in the draft don't baby your roster to only allstars go out and get future allstars. Last year I took a risk with a developing Jason Bay and guess what he got me to the championship.
Buy draft guides, read prospect reports.
You be in charge of your team and don't let the draft eat you up and swallow you like a double chocolate fudge brownie.

Catchers: Where to Start?
As Casey Stengel said at the Mets' 1961 Expansion Team Amateur Draft "You need a catcher or else you'll have a whole lot of passed balls." He was referring to his first pick who was a catcher. Catchers are equally just as important today, almost fifty years later. When you are choosing a catcher look at your league's scoring basis. If fielding is included as part of the points for and points against you should take a balanced defensive and offensive catcher such as Joe Mauer but not Bengie Molina. If it has only offense then you can still take Mauer but you're enabled to take a more offensive than defensive catcher such as Bengie Molina but not Russel Martin. I personally like to take two good catchers last year I had Yadier Molina and Joe Mauer.
