Spring training games are disappearing! How many days until we can see how the Mets turn out this year. Another Collapse or Another Failure or maybe a Playoff. The Mets went out this winter having five things on their mind:
1. Power at First
2. Starting Pitching
3. An Offensive Catcher
4. A Setup Man
5. A Big Bat int the Middle
They found a way to do fix all of these needs. They picked up Mike Jacobs who right now is in a position battle with Daniel Murphy. The Mets also have a battle for the fifth spot in the rotation between Nelson Figueroa, Jon Niese, Fernando Nieve, and Ryoto Igarhashi. The Mets have more than enough catchers trying out for the job but I would say the most offensive are Rod Barajas and Henry Blanco. A setup man even though Sean Green was there last year he has changed his arm angle to get more groundballs Igarhashi is in the mix to setup K-Rod. Jason Bay was the Mets' big signing this year, hopefully he repeats what he did last year with the Red Sox.
