Welcome to the SHOWdown Kid

The table is set with all the silverware aligned waiting for the diner, the fans. As the postseason heats up to new temperatures, the weather cools. The cockiest and most favored teams are out, and it is down to four teams to battle to the death for a ring. In both leagues, there seems to be a great match up, as Detroit's masterful pitching staff hopes to control Texas's sparking offense and Milwaukee and St. Louis will take part in a brutal divisional series. This competition is bound to make an imprint on history as we look to 30 years from now, what we'll remember from this series. Will it be Ryan Braun's walkoff homerun in Game 7 to go to the World Series, or will it be Justin Verlander's near perfect game broken up by Mike Napoli with two outs in the eighth inning to avoid elimination, or maybe we'll remember a retelling of the 2004 ALCS and the Cardinals will come from 3 games down to return to October? We won't know but I can honestly tell you we're in for a real treat, as some of the league's most talented players will strive for that childhood dream of playing in the flashbulbs of Fall Classic
