Sink or Swim in Miami
There is no positive talk about Miami sports going on now in this beach town. The scrappy Marlins once looked promising in 2011, but they drowned in the early summer rain and never recovered from their meltdown in June's scorching heat. Miami's pride and joy, the Heat, froze in a heartbreaking NBA Championship to the Dallas Mavericks and now are stuck in lockout where the entire season is in jeopardy. Whereas the Dolphins are just awful and are on their way to being the first organization in sports history to have a perfect season and an imperfect season. The Dolphins appear to have been caught by the NFL's fishing lines, and don't appear to be coming up for air anytime soon. The gridiron world was astounded when ex-Jet Jason Taylor claimed that Chad Henne was better than Mark Sanchez. (Not that Sanchez is great, but really Henne?)Where is Henne now JT? Out for the year with Matt Moore under center. Who the heck is Matt Moore? We were saying the exact same thing a couple of years ago when Chad Pennington was out for the year and Chad Henne took over. The one thing Matt Moore did last night that other QBs should take note of, he constantly targeted Revis Island. Despite throwing two picks to Darrelle, Marshall did grab a few balls, which other receivers haven't been able to do. This could unlock some new doors for opposing offenses. Even if Moore did made this discovery by mistake and out of stupidity, he helped offensive coordinators discover that though Revis is a strong corner, he is not invincible. Other than that, nothing significant happened in last night's game. I thought that after their bye week, the Dolphins would figure out there problems and restart the year. They obviously didn't. At this point, if the Dolphins continue to lose, they should just stick it out for the the rest of the season. If they do this, they have a chance to draft Andrew Luck with their probable early pick. But who is to say that Luck is going to perform. Luck could very well be another Ryan Leaf, even if he is hyped to be a Peyton.
