Well, it appears that the Ironmen from Detroit, who defeated the mighty Yankees, couldn't get past the powerhouse offense of the Rangers. Verlander as it appears, is only human. That is, sometimes. The Tigers started off last night's game with two big flies, but their staff couldn't hold it. Well, if you give anyone the task of shutting down Ian Kinsler, Michael Young, Josh Hamilton, and Nelson Cruz; it would take a miracle to do that. Anyway, I am not here to talk about the resiliency of the Tigers, or how well they played without ever giving up. I am here to praise the Rangers!
Ten years ago, Josh Hamilton was a troublemaker in Florida without his parents to supervise him, whose promising career as a pitcher was dwindling. Seven years ago, no fans knew him, and no teams really wanted him, if they knew of him. Now, he's off to his second straight World Series. The Rangers were always, a scrappy team that could be awful or give the best teams, a run for their money(And when it was the Yankees and Red Sox they were chasing, there was a lot of it). With players over the years like Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, Nolan Ryan, Charlie Hough, and Ferguson Jenkins, they always served as good competition, but now they have excelled to a new level never known before last year. In July, the clowns on MLB Network, said this team was out and they were done for the year. Then, the front office improved its bullpen. The Rangers were then riding their horse right past the Angels in the AL West. After being stunned by the Giants last year, the Rangers hope to be able to take home their first world series banner, to complement their two American League pennants. You probably remember earlier in the season, the Rangers fan who passed at the ballpark trying to catch a foul ball. It was around that time, that the Rangers took off. Maybe Shannon Stone is looking down on Texas from up in heaven, and is helping them win.
